Welcome to 73CamaroBuild.com. Thank you for visiting our build site. The purpose of this site is to chronologically share the progression of a 1973 Camaro restoration/restomod in the "Build Blog" section of this web site. The goal is to create an up-to-date progression for the purpose of collaborating with other 2nd Gen restorers and sharing ideas/experiences. Ultimately, this site should become a resource for others. I have found that throughout the build process, collaboration with other builders introduces new ideas that I may not have come up with myself and in the end produces a better build. This is my 3rd build site. My 1st site was built in 1999 for my '65 Shelby Cobra replica build. It became a very popular site for other kit builders and generated over 400,000 view in just a few years. My 2nd site was for a '69 pro-touring Firebird named "WickedBird." That site also had similar success as the Cobra site.
This build will be fairly mild compared to WickedBird. The goal is to build a strong street/strip car that we won't be afraid to beat on a bit but is nice enough to win a few trophies at the car shows. We want it to be a mix of old school look with drive line enhancements. I am really excited about this build as we are starting with a rolling shell from California and their is zero body rot. All of the original body panels will be used including the floor and trunk. Read more about the shell in the "Build Blog" area of the web site.
Here our the (current) plans that we have for this 2nd Gen:
We are located in Southern NH and encourage people to stop in when in the area. You can email us here.
